Guest guest
Wanted to introduce myself and chime in. I have been dieting since I was 14...I'm now 36. Like in Abbi's post, my diet of choice was Weight Watchers. I lost 35 pounds with WW 10 months ago for my little sisters wedding. I felt great! After the wedding I was so sick of counting points!! I just couldn't do it anymore. I then went back to my non diet eating habits. I have always loved to eat for 'entertainment'. I get bored and I eat. I think it's also been a way of escape for me. I'm a stay at home mother of 5, and in the afternoon when my little ones would nap, I would eat and watch tv for 2 hours. Anyway, here I am 10 months after my sister's wedding and I have gained all 35 pounds back plus 8 more pounds on top of that. I'm a little nervous about saying goodbye to diets forever. I am one that is always researching the latest diet and wanting to give it a try. I was watching the Today Show this morning. Jillian from 'The Biggest Loser' was plugging her book, it was about making over your metabolism. I found myself intrigued and getting sucked into what she was saying. Finally, I snapped out of it and changed the channel. I guess this is my first victory?? I am looking forward to being a part of this group and this journey! Thanks for listening!
