Guest guest
Here in Florida you are required to post a Disabled Parking Hanging Tag from the mirror of your car. You have to have a doctor write a letter to the state tag agency requesting the Parking Hanger. There are a few prerequisites to get a permanent tag. If you dont hang the tag from the mirror, here in Orlando, it is a $250 fine if you park in a disable parking space. Also, a police officer has the right to question and check your tag. If the person that the tag was issued to is NOT in the car, then the person driving can be fined $250 if they cannot prove the person is in the store. Even then the police have the option of asking the NON disabled driver to remove the car from the disabled spot until the disabled person leaves the store, then the driver can pick up the disabled person from the front of the store. The name on the tag must match the people in the car. That is the one thing the police will check.
