Guest guest
YOU go girl.. woo hoo. I have IBS too. But I suffer from Constipation... YIKES!! I have to take something to make me go then I only have one or two bowel movements every ten days.... It is rough and If I go on a trip and stay at a hotel. I won't go till I go home. I don't know what in the world causes that... but I won't go. We had Thanksgiving one year at the beach. and Mom and Dad and I went down a week early and was having a ball till I started hurting and bloating up.. nothing.. over the counters helped.. not even walking. I thought I was going to end up in the hospital, Ralph suggested I go try Roseann's house Because I have stayed there before and did not have a problem. So Rose, , Mom... everyone went off to shop and Ralph told them that I would meet them at the mall or We would be in the ER. Something was going to happen today...lol I got to go shopping.. All it took was tricking myself into thinking I was at home. and not in a hugh house with forty plus family and in-laws and out-laws..lol I'm praying for you hope you have a wonderful new year. love Carol Good News I am probably jumping the gun with this, but I am so pleased I can't help but say something. First of all I hope everyone had a very I know we did. - - - As you know, I have been having mega grief with my stomach. I've had irritable bowel syndrome for several years. I frequently wear the potty princess tiara. For several months now I have had an increase in nausea, vomiting and horrible stomach ache. I also get incredibly constipated if I'm not real careful and feel like I will explode for sure. I have been tested and retested - - - Finally a couple weeks ago my sister mentioned that sense I have a dairy (lactose) intolerance and have developed more and more food intolerances that maybe I have a problem with gluten. Boo Hiss!!! So, I have been totally off gluten. The only thing I had with gluten was a little bit of macaroni salad at our family Christmas party last Sunday evening and it didn't bother me. Within 24 hours I felt better and by 48 hours my stomach ache was gone. Last night my stomach felt great and so I decided to eat about a dozen unsalted top crackers - and they didn't bother me. Today I have had that many more crackers and also a nice helping of my Mother's turkey dressing which she makes with homemade bread she's let dry out. My stomach still feels good. Soooooooooo - - either I just got the gluten out of my body and once it gets built back up again I'll get sick, or I don't have a gluten intolerance. Then I have no clue what it was, just hope it stays away. I am going to slowly introduce more gluten and see what happens. Please wish me luck!! I'm sure hoping and praying my stomach is back to as normal as it is going to get. When he has some energy, he can at least get up out of his chair. He was able to climb a ladder and repair a section of gutter on the house. He hasn't been able to do any chores like that for many, many months. So we are very encouraged at the moment. Oh, he also doesn't seem to be a hungry so he's eating a little less. That should help, too. Amber
