Guest guest
Here's a rule I think Christian intuitive eaters should change. No, don't diet, but there are foods you really shouldn't eat because God said our body is his temple. Also, anytime you eat when you're not physically hungry just to eat is called " GLUTTONY " . And That And look, i'm going to be very blunt and nonsympathetic about this and tell it how it is because any form of SIN is not ok to let slide by. So here's what I do, I can eat what I want AS LONG AS: It existed during the time of Jesus in some form (ex: rice, oatmeal, wheat, fruit, vegetables) I say this because if it existed back then, then Jesus himself most likely ate it which will therefore make it fine for you to partake in. Little or no additives (HEALTHY granola bars are iffy because they have oats and grains w/ added sugar so if ur not TOO strict on this, then you can eat those sparingly) Junk Food (has A LOT of processed 'fake' food that does damage to our body by giving us nutrients that we really DON'T need) Proverbs 23:21 " For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. " So pretty much you become an alcoholic or binger and you'll use all your money on your obsession and lose everything. Poverty not only means money, alcohol can push away ones that care about you or other things in life you might have enjoyed. You'll be drowsy...plain blunt english there. Did you ever notice that most alcoholics get beer bellys and are usually found passed out and sleeping? Same thing with eating. When you eat that HUGE Thanksgiving meal don't you just want to sleep? During all these times of sleeping you're not working or doing anything else productive in your life. If everyone only ate when they were hungry and stopped when the body told them it was enough since the time they were born, no one would be fat. PERIOD. So now that people are trying to switch to the correct way, that's great! But still, after YEARS of damaging our bodies, one year won't fix it. So it will be difficult but we might never know what our bodies were truly meant to look like. So, taking that 1 little hershey kiss someone offers you, is wrong. Your not hungry, and even if you were, you and I both know that it would not fill you up. Why do you think God provided Adam and Eve with all fruits? If we all only ate those we would be healthy. No don't talk to me about nutrient deficiencys because if we all only ate those since we were born, our bodies would not need the " medicines " all these doctors have come up with. And with the great nutritional value of those foods we'd have our great skin and hair and bodies. And now if up to this point you think I don't know what I'm talking about, then if you are a true believing educated Christian, then you will find my next statement completely true: God made the heavens and the earth and eveything in it, correct? So when God made the trees, water, animals, fields of grass and grains, did he make Cheese Nips, cookies, chips, brownies, and brownies too? Now that ought to answer your question. Eat the things that the EARTH provides us with. Now you wonder don't we cook. YES. They cooked back then too, but w/out so manny addives. Fire was created as part of the earth so using the heat with another EARTH PROVIDED material such as the food provided is perfectly fine. Salt, pepper, NATURAL spices (not those mixed with other chemicals then sold @ the store) are fine to use. Wheat is fine. Even back in the bible the people ate a breadlike food called, 'mana'. Rice (brown; that's the way the earth made it, not with the bran removed and thrown out) grows from the ground so cooking and eating rice is fine. Some people even eat rice raw which may give you a few stomach problems or uncomfortableness because of how hard the body has to work to digest it, but apart from that shows that raw was possible to eat to. And the easiest, fruits and vegetables are direct earth sources (the ORGANIC ones)! Oatmeal is fine. Oats come from the ground. Flour is fine, eggs, milk, butter (fresh, not with all the salt and other stuff added). Now if you look at all the things mentioned above, you will find that they are all considered 'healthy' even in todays socity. Apart from the carbs that people say are bad in rice and bread, these are the foods most nonjunkfood diets tell you to eat. The difference is, diets make you count calories. Well we were each created differently. For some of us, 2000 is too much and for some 4000 is not enough. Obviously God knew that carbs would be good for energy so that we were not constantly tired. So eliminating carbs is stupid. If you only eat the amount you need, then the body will use the carbs for energy which is their correct purpose which means that you therefore will not gain weight because it will not become 'fat'. Making eating cutoff times are stupid because the bodies know routine, but aren't clocks. They don't know it's 12:00 pm so eat time. So if you're hungry at 12:00 am...EAT. even if you're about to go to bed. But chances are, if you're going to go to bed, you're tired. So you're body won't need to much food which will mean if you eat the amount your body tells you to, you won't gain weight doing it. So truly if you nap @ 4:00pm till 6:00, your body has just started its day. Everything is starting from the begining for you. Meaning metabolism, and energy needs. Now I would just like some responses on the NEW light I have spread on intuitive eating because it really is all common sense. God was not stupid when he provided the earth with certain foods, and our stomachs with mouths that growl when needing food and shutup when they don't.
