Welcome Carol and yes, eating in evenings is a hot topic here too :) There are

lots of reasons for this happening, but the best thing to do is 1) don't beat

yourself up over this, 2) give yourself permission to eat (instead of 'fighting'

yourself about it) and 3) if you can, back track a tiny bit to see if you can

find what you were doing/thinking right before your 'food!' thoughts struck.

Beyond that, do consider if its really possible for you to be - yes - hungry!

Often we have so lost touch with our internal hunger signals that we expect an

earth shattering alarm to go off - lol. And of course there's always the 'old

habit' based upon XXX that time and location (couch?) trigger too. If you can

look at this as a discovery opportunity instead of a 'failing', you may be happy

to find a 'why' to answer your own questions.

BEST to you, Katcha

waiting on hunger and yet in the evening I have continued to struggle with

overeating. Any practical ideas for breaking this ongoing habit? It is too easy

to let down after a busy day. I am meeting with a friend and we are encouraging

each other but I am thankful to have this on line support group as well. Thanks

for any thoughts/ideas!
