I did a report on this surgery 15 months ago. It was accepted by the Dept.

of Neurology at the University of Philedelphia as physicians reference. The

report is one of only very few to have been written by a non-professional

and accepted at that institution. The University of Philedelphia is

considered to be the leading brain research center in the US.

The surgery is for social blushing, (or other social phobia related

problems) not cea or flushing. Some, however have reported a decrease

or elimination of flushing/rosacea. Dr. Nase has been looking into it's

usefulness for rosacea. There are a lot of things in common, as most or

many with excessive blushing also have rosacea. If you have excessive

social blushing, read my web-site at www.angelfire.com/ab/ets.

I will be a chair at the 4th International Symposium on ETS surgery in 2001

(the part for laypeople)in Tampere, Finland. If you are interested in

attending, please write me and I'll send you a brochure.

I live in Michigan and I'm an undergraduate student of Psychology.

I don't neccessarily agree with what is at the Redmask site. I think it is

very one sided, and I believe that the type of surgery that was performed on

this lady is more dangerous than the newer methods which are reversable

with-in the first 2-6 months in the case of severe side-effects. I

personally believe there are even better methods of the type she had done.

I have nothing against the person who started the foundation, and with a few

changes to the site, I'd be willing to support it.

By the way, I think my name comes up as " unknown " I'm not sure why, but my

name is Tom Cremer and my e-mail is tomcremer@...

cea is sometimes found with blushing/flushing but is not necessarily

found together. There has been some talk on this forum, but there is a more

dedicated bulletin board. See the links below.
