And then on the good days, I'm ready to plan dinner parties for 25. It's quite frustrating. I've considered circling the good days on the calendar - because there really are more of them than bad. It's just that i get so discouraged on the bad days. Usually bad days follow a day where I've done something extra, not gotten enough to eat or sleep or just did too much. Is it possible that my body has already adjusted and wants an increase in dosage?<< I think it is very possible as that is such a tiny amount of Armour that you started on. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Guest guest
In my experience it really does take two weeks to get the full effect. I would definitely wait. Is it possible that when you started to feel better you greatly increased your activities? I did that when I first got on Armour and wore myself out. I did an awful lot both Friday and Sat., the days that I felt the best. I also did not sleep well last night. Thank you for the opinion. I figured that I would wait a few days and see how I feel . Thanks for the opinion. Sim
Guest guest
Sim, no, don't wait. Your body is already telling you that you need more. 1/4 grain is paltry. In spite of that, your pituitary gland has already sensed the introduction, and via the TSH, has sent a message to your TSH to decrease it's production. But your thyroid ALREADY has a decreased production because it's ill. So you are left with hypo returning with a vengeance. Increase. Guest guest
I've been on generic Armour increasing by l/4 grain every week since Nov. 3rd. After I got up to l l/4 grains I started having more excellent healthful feelings, good accomplishment, happier days moreso than before on Synthroid. Warmer hands/feet/nose, more feelings of well-being, more optimistic, less depressed, more energy, less overall aches/pain, etc. Still having some of that, yes, but also other worse feelings & some days sicker than before with a lot of the same old symptoms. So it's been a roller coaster ride here & continues to be. Today I'm more depressed/lethargic, pessimistic than usual. Prolly cuz I've got bad stomach acidity bothering me more than anything. But yesterday was a far better day & I got scads of things accomplished I've had backlogged since late October. So that was a relief. But today not feeling like doing a thing & would rather be asleep or unconscious tho I'm up to l l/2 grains now as of Thurs, 11th. Caroline spoke too soon OK, so the day after I post about how good I feel, the very next day, I am feeling exhausted and have ice cold feet again. Considering the coming holiday on thursday, which I'll be hosting, I've just spent the whole day doing nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? I started armour last wednesday, and felt better and better until today, 5 days after starting. Does anyone else recall getting such fast reactions? I'm only on 1/4 grain. Is it possible that my body has already adjusted and wants an increase in dosage? Or should I wait it out until the two weeks are done? Any opinions would be appreciated, thank you.
