Thank you. I do still work. I work in Alaska, live in Arizona, and can't remember what state, city or room I may have left anything in. I am starting to carrying a tape recording, someone's idea for me, I bought a voice activated one, I will let you know you how that works.

Relax, I vaguely remember that word from somewhere (lol)

Sweet Cherokee,First, try to relax some. For me it definitely has been worse and better over the past ten years. As for now, I suggest you start carrying around a spiral notebook. Depending upon your wardrobe, carry it in your pocket. If no pockets, string some yarn through the spiral and wear it round your neck. Every time you do, say, or hear anything significant, write it down right away. If you are mostly bed ridden or you hang out pretty much in a couple of rooms, or if you still work but you have a desk job, you could probably make your "memory book" something larger. Be sure that any of these books are labeled on the front. It was a great tool to take with me to the neurologist -- he or she could see right away that I had a short term memory problem and I was taking responsibility for it.Hope this helps. On

I should try that. The other day I was at Walmart & kept thinking of stuff I needed to do. I couldn't remember if I had written it down anywhere else & I didn't have anything to write on because I hadn't taken my purse. So I started writing stuff on my wrist splint. By the time I had it pretty well covered with mostly illegible thoughts, I remembered the list in my pocket; a nice piece of paper blank on one side! I still haven't transcribed the stuff from my splint. Rose

Thank you everyone. This short term memory loss is awful. I hate not remembering if I ate, or what I did, or any of that stuff. For those of you that have this. Does this come and go, or this is permanent part of NS? Cherokee, I'm curious (some would call it nosy) about what kind of work you do. Where in Alaska do you work? How often do you commute? Where do you live in Arizona? I spent most of my childhood in Tucson. I still enjoy visiting relatives there. There is actually desert still in town. I hope they never turn it into something like Phoenix. I've never understood why you would want to move to the desert, then make it look like the Midwest. Just my humble opinion! Anyway, I love Tucson, even though I can't climb "A" mountain or wander through the desert for hours anymore. Well, I can't think of any more nosy questions. Hoosier Prairie Dog Rose
