Welcome Chantel!

Lots of luck and continue the great work!

I have a 3 month old son and also have returned to work. I am dedicating all

my spare time (lunch and breaks) to pumping!

Hi all! I'm Chantel and I'm new to the breastfeeding list. I have a 3 year

old daughter and a 2 month old daughter! I breastfed my oldest daughter for

only 2 months and am bound and determined to bf longer with my second. So

far it's going great! I'm even back to work and pumping with success. I'm

also an ER nurse. Can't wait to chat with you all and hopefully get some

support so that I can keep breastfeeding!

Welcome Chantel,

My name is a mom to four the youngest being 10 mos and the oldest being

10yrs. I

lurk on the list and respond when I can. I am a nurse too. I went back to work

when

Abby(my 10mo old was four months) She has only had breastmilk(no formula) so

it can be

done.

Good luck with working

welcome to the list

Hi folks, I feel lousy, generally. I weigh 293, way too high for me. I'm diabetic, so if I need to binge, lean meat is all I can have. Sheesh, I gotta buy a bunch of meat for my place pronto. If I'm eating without the need to binge, I like the idea of looking at my body for up to the first 5 bites of any food. If I need to go beyond that, I gotta go to lean meat again. I guess I'm posting here because today I made a resolution to live my life more consciously. I'm talking about conscious health, conscious wealth, conscious love, and conscious happiness. In practice that means, I gotta ask myself again and again how I'd act if my health were my #1 priority. This moment it means going to the gym. If I'm hungry, I

could go to Mcs or Carls Jr and have just the meat patties they would sell me. OK, it isn't super lean meat at all, but it does not affect my blood sugar negatively. My bugaboo with Mcs is that I tend to eat 1 or 2 ice cream cones when I'm there. Thinking of my new priority and of writing to this list, it's first 5 bites only, and watching and feeling the bites as they wend their way through my body. I wanted to exercise *hard* according to the PACE program of Dr. Al Sears, except since my health is now my #1 priority, I realize that if I do that, weighing 293, I'm really risking a heart attack. Far better that I exercise more leniently. OK, it won't take off pounds the same way and I'll need my own diet (as mentioned) in combination with that to lose maybe 1 pounds/week or so. But I'll be relatively safe from a heart attack too! I'm scared folks, in addition. I've told myself I'll lose weight my whole life

and I'm 63. But I guess it's now or never. That's my feeling anyways. I wake up every day not feeling good physically. I've had a checkup and as far as I know there's no obvious problem causing this *except* for my added weight. So I want to have a "feel good" philosophy, a way of life that results in my feeling good.rather than in feeling bad.best wishes to all,Mike_
