Feta cheese is quite mild usually and has varying degrees of saltiness. I have a HUGE block of Feta I got from Costco a couple of weeks ago, and I've been enjoying it mashed up with about and equal amount of cream cheese, fresh herbs, and black pepper. I use this mixture to stuff mushroom caps or spread on cucumber slices. Black olives are really nice with it. I thinned down some with heavy cream and took it to a family picnic as a dip. My 7-year old nephew absolutely loved it spread on bread.

Thanks very much for your Feta cheese tour.. MMM now I cant wait to have some!! hehe PS Lost 5 pounds this week. tho Yesterday was my first REAL induction day, I think that the no carbs or sugar all day the past 4 days has done "something"

I love FETA cheese.

I accidentally picked up a garlic flavoured one at the supermarket.

I thought it was just sensational.

There is no nutritional info on the packaging, but I don't care.

Every morning I have a 2 egg omellete, some feta, & some anchovies

(No, I am not pregnant)

I just find the flavours amazing.

Tonya,

Loved your omelet idea. Isn't it strange that on this

WOE, we become gourmets with exquisite taste?

Before I started this, I was happy with the usual

burger king, and macaroni and cheese, and oreos.

Now it's browsing the deli's for imported ham, and

gruyere cheese and feta with greek olives.

We have come such a long way.

Feta is very very sharp and potent, and salty and

kind of dry, but not like parmesan dry,

and it goes great crumbled on salads, and tomatoes

with olive oil, and it pickes up flavors, like fresh

basil and oregano, and is made to be eaten with

olives,

and mashed in celery.

my mouth is watering.

Count me out on the olives - hate them with a passion.

Now from the sublime to the ridiculous.

I fancied something cool & sweet.

So, into a bowl went some cottage cheese mixed with chocolate WPI &

some orange sugar free jello ( already set).

It really was a strange combination.

Last night I had it w/out the chocolate - tasted much better that way.

I'm just about to go to bed. It's midnight here.

Looking forward to the anchovies & feta again in the morning.

It's the best meal of the day for me.
