Guest guest
I'm taking the following based on the book: Prescription For Nutritional Healing, 3rd Edition by Phylilis A. Balch, CNC & F. Balch, M.D. for hypothyroidism, mercury toxcicity, fibromyalgia, arthritis & hypoglycemia mostly. Only those listed as " Essential " or " Very Important " for each one. Some are recommended for more than one of the above, others prescribed by doctors. Darvocet Rx, Estradiol Rx, generic Armour Rx (w/Zinc chelate & Selenium separtely), Super Stress B-Complex w/Vitamin C, Milk Thistle, Time-Caps generic Armour, Bioplasma Cell salts. , Milk Thistle, Vitamin E/Mixed Tocopherols gels, Cod Liver Oil gels, Rhodiola Root(adrenal aid/stress-cortisol redux), Buffered C w/Bioflavonoids & calcium, Mobility Essentials (glucosamine/chondroitin herbal formula), Thyroid Essentials vitamin-mineral formula, Copper, Q-Gel Forte (CoQ10 plus), Primal Defense probiotic, Kyolic aged garlic, Black Currant Seed Oil gels, Udo's Choice EFA oils, Papaya & Pineapple Enzymes capsules, Essential Free Form Amino Acids, Wheat Grass Powder, PH Balance Alkaline vitamin-mineral powder, Seasilver vitamin-mineral-amino acid liquid, Green Tea Concentrate, soy lecithin, ground flax seed, wheat germ. Some I take with food or mixed into coconut or almond milk & l/2 water, some on an empty stomach with water spaced l/2 hour apart from each other & from food. I was taking a bunch of others listed in that book too or otherwhere as " important " or " helpful " but had to quit taking those...too many. Today so far I've only taken the Darvocet Rx thru Bioplasma Cell salts list (first sentence above) but none of the others because of excess stomach acid problems burning my upper chest & throat, especially when I lie down. I'm about to just quit taking all of them except the liquids & powders I can drink maybe, if those. My stomach can't handle it...it's rebelling. And I hate swallowing so many pills...makes me gag or I have difficulty getting them to go down into the stomach. And they cost too much which I really can't afford to continue going in debt for as I have been at the rate of about $200. a month. So to heck with it. For good or ill, I quit. I'm going to eat & drink what I darn well please, can afford & not take what I hate or is too expensive to keep up with after this. Caroline Carolyn.... > A person can feel worse just worrying about how to buy or pay for all the supplements & Rx meds & other stuff one has to take & also getting indigestion or ulcers just trying to take it. Carolyn, what are all the supplements and meds you are taking?? Janie
Guest guest
Caroline The green tea has massive amts of fluoride in it, and the soy lecithin, well, I think weve already discussed this and beaten the heck out of it, so to speak. The flax, my judgment is still out on that one. I used to drink the green tea and took the supplements for it for awhile until I found out how much fluoride it has in it, then I quit. I didn't particularly like it anyway, so that was easy, but it did wake me up quite a bit. I am not, however, giving up my Ginkgo Biloba, as it keeps me feeling alert, or as much as alert as you can be with hypo. Haven't heard anything bad about it, but, if I do, forget it, I'm not going without that one. Guest guest
WOW!!!!!! No WONDER you are burned out and stomach is rebelling. I think it's a great idea to get what you want from good food anyway. I do stress that folks here at LEAST take Selenium and high potency B vitamins. I also happen to take a 325 mg. iron pill a day for my chronic low Ferritin, GINGER which almost TOTALLY takes away my tendonitis, plus Co Q-10, and antioxidants. Janie p.s. Is that estradiol a minimum amount? Are you taking progestone to balance it out, i.e. to prevent estrogen dominance? And yes, skip the soy---bad for thyroid. > I'm taking the following based on the book: Prescription For >Nutritional Healing, 3rd Edition by Phylilis A. Balch, CNC & >F. Guest guest
The only kind of green tea I drink is from HerbaSway (Japanese). It's a liquid concentrate, comes in an eye dropper bottle. The company is extremely wary of stuff like flouride & other toxins & there's no caffeine in it either. That's why they created their own product & don't advise taking the others in capsules, pills or tea bags which, they say, have toxins in the material the bags are made of plus flouride & other toxins. So that's why I bought it. Though it still may not be safe, who knows? Who knows what is safe anymore? I'm not drinking much of it anymore but am opting for ginger tea or other herbal teas I make myself mostly. So the green tea is about out the door here too. I'm about out of the soy lecithin so won't be taking that anymore either. I already quit ingesting soy in all form, except that. I used to drink nothing but soy milk & put soy protein powder in it every day for years. Maybe that's what did me in? Could be. I stopped that two months ago. I'm drinking coconut milk & almond milk now as I'm badly allergic to animal milks & all dairy products. Now I'm worried about getting enough protein & having a hard time swallowing/ingesting pills/capsules like amino acids. Guest guest
It's 1 mg. Estradiol. Just got back on it after been off for several months & having too many hot flashes. I cannot afford to buy any progesterone creams. Too expensive. I'm taking the Estradiol again only because my insurance pays for most of it as it's dr. prescribed. Caroline Re: Caroline... WOW!!!!!! Guest guest
how on earth can you afford all these supplements? I'm really starting to think that all the 'extras' your taking are going to hinder seeing any good things with armour? I could be wrong, but while some supplements are good, to bombard our systems with tons of stuff that can work against each other is not good either. SandyE~Houston Re: Caroline...
