Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm taking care of some personal "drama" in my life and will be back to hang out with all of you in a little over a week. Can't wait! However, this could not wait. If you haven't heard about it, you're going to. PETA apparently doesn't have enough people to go after anymore so they have found another group and that is overweight women. It's disgusting and I'm so angry I don't even know what to say. I just want everyone here to know that it is not being overlooked. This is a huge topic on Twitter right now and you may be aware of the power of Twitter these days. Moms on Twitter got Advil, I think, to pull a commercial because it was offensive. They did it all via Twitter, no media, no famous people, just Twitter. I'm seeing it happening today with PETA. It's happening on the blogs as well. They are not going to get away with it. They are doing nothing put promoting hate and creating hate. I heard about a blog post just a minute ago that was beautifully written by a vegan who, in her words, is obese. She wrote the post to PETA and I think you all will love it. (And yes, I heard about it on Twitter) http://veganhope.com/2009/08/20/dear-peta/ Please pass it along and do what you can to let others know that there are lots and lots of people who care and who judge people by their character, not their waist size. (Oh, we also don't throw blood on fur coats, even if we don't like using fur for clothing).
