Guest guest
I'm feeling kind of weepy. I just came from my gastro/intestinal doctor checkup and my blood pressure was up higher than I've ever seen it. So was my weight. UGH! But something pretty cool happened too. I called my husband and told him about it and then wept a few tears when I got off the phone. I thought about calling my mother and my sister to discuss it with them and I envisioned them both " reacting " to this news as something that " needs fixing. " But what they dont know and understand is that I'm already on the right path. It's very hard to tell this when looking at my medical files. But - slowly I am coming around. I mentioned last week that I actually wanted salad. And last week - I decided to begin exercising 5 days a week - moderately. I have dieted, puked, overexercised, and been addicted to stimulants for 30+ years. To begin eating " diet foods " again and exercising from a different mindset is a true miracle. I WANT to be healthy. I am slowly learning to listen to that " still small voice " inside me. Deb
