Guest guest
Hi, everybody. Hope you're all doing well! I've been trying Clonidine for about a week and have found that, while it does help suppress flushing, especially social flushing, it also makes me very drowsy and sometimes dizzy. People keep telling me how tired I look. So I'm wondering if I should try something like Inderal instead. Don't you only take that as needed? Has anyone had good results with it? Thanks in advance for your help- Becky
Guest guest
Hello, . Sedation is the downside to Clonidine. If you continue using it, you will probably notice that the drowsiness and dizziness diminish after a few weeks. I have been using it for three years and barely notice it now, although I experienced problems similar to yours at first. What you might try for a couple of weeks is to just take half a tablet, wait a couple of hours, then take the other half. This should minimize the sedation until your system becomes more accustomed to the Clonidine. I haven't tried Inderal, but I have no problems with Clonidine now that I am used to it. Guest guest
The purpose of Clonidine in my case is to reduce facial flushing from rosacea.
