Guest guest
OMG! I am so cold! It's 70 degrees in the house, I am in front of the fireplace, in sweats and wrapped in a blanket. I feel like I am going to freeze to death. I upped my Armour to 5-1/2 grains earlier in the week when someone, I don't remember who, suggested that I might need more for one reason or another, I don't remember what. The brain fog is also VERY bad today. I don't know what's up. Anybody have any suggestions? As a refresher, here is all I am taking: Selenium, B-Complex w/Vitamin C, Vitamin C by itself, Calcium, Adrenal Glandulars, Zinc, GTF Chromium, Metformin (again as of today), Magnesium, Amino Acids, Iron, Acidopholous, Nexium, Allegra, Rhinocourt, L-Tyrosine and when I remember Bee Pollen granuals. I need help. Thanks! Deb:-)
Guest guest
Hi there Deb, May I ask how much you have upped? I know it's hard to be that cold. I'm cold today also. I wonder why I'm hypo again although I upped my meds two weeks ago also. It's getting winter, frost at night. I also started taking calcium supplements twice a day. But although I take them 4 hours apart from my thyroidmeds, for some reason I wonder if it is still interfering with my meds. You are using iron meds too. Both of them can really prevent right absorbtion from the gut. (as you most likely know). But I just wonder sometimes, if these 4 hours are really sufficient. Do you take the Armour sublingual? It might help probably .... (I don't take it that way, I get nauseated very easily, the smell & taste will be a trigger for me ..... I myself might take calcium now right before going to bed, only four hours after my last thyroidmed. So NOT in between doasages. Lets see if that helps. I hope you feel warm soon!!! Margreet. > OMG! Guest guest
You folks that are kinda new to this hypo stuff, or just uninformed, remember that many of us will need to increase our meds in the Winter. So any of you that have been feeling good for a while, now feeling those old hypo twinges this is likely what's happening. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Don't forget the magnesium, Margreet! Calcium without magnesium leads to an imbalance which can cause problems. Guest guest
Because if you had a healthy thyroid that worked right, that's what the thyroid would naturally do, via feedback messages from the hypothalamus, our temperature center for all seasons. But, ours can't increase the hormone, as our thyroids don't work right any more, so we have to do what would ordinarily be done by the thyroid, increase. Don't ask me how much, that I don't know. All I know is that my T4 is suddenly as low as when I started, so I just upped it again. Re: Re: FREEZING! > > What is the reasoning for upping the meds in the winter? I know that I have been exceptionally cold in the past few days myself. Had a roaring fire in the fireplace last night and am looking forward to another tonight. Everyone in the house was boiling, and Iwas comfy,,, > Kerry

Guest guest
Everybody better get a good supply of Armour & other things on hand for the winter then. Because I just heard a prediction we're going to have a fiercer winter with super bad blizzards, flooding & power outtages. That could be very bad on the economy which is also due to get worse next Spring & Summer as is the housing & products/food delivery situation. So stock up! Caroline Re: FREEZING! Well, you're definitely on the hypo-side..... The body needs to generate more warmth during the winter. Therefore it needs more thyroid hormones! I wish I had a fireplace myself. I would put it on every evening....

I'm interested to hear! I think that climate- changes will indeed influence our economy. Not as bad though as The Day After Tomorrow. Have you seen that one? I saw it last week. Guest guest
Go to www.coasttocoastam.com. There should be a description of tonight's radio program where it was predicted by Dr. Paglini.. " The Day After Tomorrow " is based on the book " The Coming Super Storms " authored by Art Bell & Whitley Streiber. Streiber's website is www.Unknowncountry.com for more info on earth/weather changes. Dr. Paglini was interviewed by Art Bell on his Coast to Coast radio talk show tonight. Noory hosts the shows weeknights. Caroline Re: FREEZING! > Because I just heard a prediction we're going to have a fiercer winter with super bad blizzards, flooding & power outtages.
