Is that the only medication you are taking? I've had allergic reaction to 3

different NSAIDs, you have to consider all the medications you are taking as

possible culprits. I also had an allergic reaction to a vitamin, but it was

the coloring agent in the vitamin which caused the allergic reaction.

You should be sure which drug is causing the reaction before going on with

any new medication.

Hi there - I have DM (Dermatomyositis) - similar to Lupus... muscle pain

weakness rashes... I was dx in 1996 and used prednisone, in 1998 I tried

plaquinel - but broke out in a rash - hives... doc said he didn't think it

was from the plaquinel (hydroxychloroquine / anti-malarial)... I knew it had

to be... anyway shortly after that is when I found AP and started it... I am

in remission no meds no DM symptoms... my story is on www.rheumatic.org

medical histories Lee Dermatomyositis... any questions, let me know!

Hi , I was on Plaquenil for three months and had a severe

allergic reaction...Doctor told me to make sure I throw away the

remaining pills so that I don't take them by mistake...My arms

looked as though they were in a fire...horrible.

I do agree, make sure if you are on any other meds, that you are not

sensitive to them also....The only other med new to me that set me

off, was Celebrex..I bled internally. I have many meds that I KNOW I

can't take, and I carry a list with me...They are also on my records.

Have been on Minocin for almost 4 years, I have nothing but

raves.....I know I am weird, but I have never had a yeast

infection...been tested and also no signs...I know that is unusual,

but that is the least we can expect from the antibiotic therapy. It

does work....Just be patient!!!!!!

Hope this helps.

Love, Barb

makes a really good point. I've had reactions to several " inactive "

ingredients including food colorings, the gelatin used for capsules, fillers

like corn starch, etc. There is a lot more to these things than people usually

consider.
