Oh, Carol, I wish I had been there. You make it sound like one of the old Carol Burnett sketches, LOL.

I'm surprised that they whole church didn't "keen", moan and "get happy" over the whole thing.

What a load of baloney, and how awful for you and your sis and mom. Sheesh. I never could stand

false piety, but what you describe really takes the cake. Well, at least you got a good laugh out of

MM, You would not belive what happen to day. They caught us as we went in and wanted us to walk in with the family, Mom and both said, Carol can not stand that long.. We need to sit down, Then Deanne said that's ok, we figured that would happen so here just sit on the last row and we will come and get you... Mom said under breath as we sat down.. It will be a cold day in H____L

And we thought ok, we can stay back there... Nope they came and got us to get in line and walk in.. I told them I'm going to get in the back of the line, (I don't want to hold any one up when I hobble down the asle....lol They said oh no ... You have to be up front.. we are lining the family up by age and Your Dad was the oldest so your mom will go in first... I thought mom's head was going to explode. So we walk, or they walked and I hobbled.... in my big ol' fur and Dad's Dress cane.... So we get in there and sit down.. They have 1 preacher (Dad's sister) and 3 laymen that are talking, and 5 songs.... So they get started and all these people are talking about what a sweet grand mother we had and how they have known us for 4 generations... I'm thinking... Who are these people.... and Why am I sitting her.. Then We go throught the 3 laymen speaking and 5 songs... then gets up and starts talking... boy is she lying.. mom is elbowing cindy and is elbowing me.... And I'm thinking "God will you send a little lighting bolt and just Burn the ends of her hair... scare her or something.. She is lying about my Grandfather, talking about how he went to church but was not saved till she talked to him about it... and walked him through it right before he died....lol I'm going, he died with my Dad beside him, and He never called for anything,,, If PaPa needed anything he called Mom and Dad... Then she started talking about a picture they took of All the kids with MaMa and PaPa, and the flash made a bright spot in the window behind then and said that it was a picture of God holding out his hands.... lol leaned over and said... Is that not the flash off the camera she is talking about and I started snickering and said.. Yep that the picture we have at our house.. Then she said that God was in Deanne, living room a couple of hours before MaMa died...lol.. it came from the Christmas tree and spread out over her bed... To me it sounds like they turned on the Christmas Tree... this went on for a hour.. Plus they had everyone cry on cue.. I tell no lie, breaks down and sobs while trying to pray, every one of the sisters all go OH NO!!! and then they all start sobbing... I told Mom this reminds me of a part in the bible where you hire people to cry for the family...lol Oh yea.. we are on the front row and we were going crazy trying to figure out how to look around and not get caught...lol Then we get out side, is driving and She goes flying out of the parking lot and passes the family car and the police....

Well that is my story for what happen to day. Oh yes.. told mom that she owes her big time for saying.. Oh this is the last thing we have to do.. We can go in at the back of the family line...lol yea right.. We were all on the front row, and Mom had steam coming out her ears...lol Ok that is it... love ya Carol

I just hate that these people think we fall for it. and I are trying to do God's will. And keep mom out of trouble. I don't see how she has kept quite all these years. And when Dad was real sick they would come and wake him up to tell him that some one in the family is real bad sick. We told them not to tell him, He would be up all night worring and wondering what was going on. Because they never called back to tell if they are alive and well.

So mom put them on a list and put up a sign that said you have to go by the nurses station. Then the nurses would tell them Sorry your not on the list.. And we had them blocked so that they had to call us to find out how he was doing... It was sad.. But they were driving mom crazy and I was so bad at the Deanne for coming in and bouncing on Dad's bed to wake him up with me telling her.. To stop it and she would say.. oh Harold will want to know that (her hubby who dad had nicknamed Rabbit) was in the ER with a heartattack. love Carol

there when she pulled that stuff. All I have to do most of the time is give people the LOOK, and they

cowtow pretty fast, let me tell you. My kids will tell their friends, "If she gives you "the look", watch

out. It's time for you to go home." LOL I don't know what it is, but I can look at bratty kids in a

store, and they straighten right up. My mother could do that, too. My own kids are immune, I think.

there when she pulled that stuff. All I have to do most of the time is give people the LOOK, and they

cowtow pretty fast, let me tell you. My kids will tell their friends, "If she gives you "the look", watch

Carol, I, for one, am highly suspicious of people who claim that God talks to them. Where I come

from, people who hear voices in their heads are mentally insufficient, and require round the clock

supervision and strong, mind altering drugs. I have a deep and abiding faith in God, in his many guises and aspects, a very strong belief in a greater Power or Spirit than my earthly one, and I have great respect for all faiths, for each of us comes to religion in our own unique way, but sometimes,

MM It drives me crazy... This one has such control over people. Ralph swears it is a cult. She was very upset and was giving the husband - wife team that brings in the food down the road, saying I had to go out and get more chicken. and There was only one dessert... and started telling her what she wanted and how it was to be prepared and all they did was say Oh I'm so sorry, I'll strighten that out and get it right over to your house...lol I told Ralph that I'm over the food and no one has ever told me that. But I did tell my back up not to bring in food and the girl who sends flowers out or money to people who have lost a love one. I told her not to send a card, flower or money... I did not want it and it did not seem right to me. I know that sounds harsh but I did not consider her family. Oh yea.... They put us on the front row. My Mom has that look and can tell you off and you will not even figure it out for a couple of days. is good.. she ream you out then give you a hug and You have no idea what she has done till you have time to think about it. and lol.. She did not want out of school early so that she could go to the funeral.. She said that Woman made my Mom cry and I'm not going to miss the last day of school because of her, So Ralph and I were fighting... (verbal) trying to win the spot that got out of the funeral...lol As you know Ralph won. I told him that it was going to be pay back...lol

But I keep telling Mom I'm waiting on God to get her... I want to see him punt kick her through the field goal of life.

Oh yea.. We all need to load up and go to her church. You know that she can heal me. If I would only go to her church and Have HER pray for me.. I thought.. Wow that is something... She don't even need God to help heal me... She is so powerful she can do it on her own... That just freaks me out..... and She knows the exact time that God is going to appear in her church.... now that is freaky... and scary.. oh yea.. she says that the God calls mischevious people Monkeys.. That is what HE told her You know that is not good.
