I just wanted to share an experience I had today with all of you. Those who

suffer with more red than anything else will understand. I went shopping

today and decided to try to buy some cover-up make up. Something I'd never

done before in my life. I'm 42 a mother of 2 and never wore any kind of face

makeup ever. Well I went over to the Lancome counter at the department store

and told the woman " I have cea and I need something to cover up all this

redness. " She was the most understanding woman I had ever met and took me

to the stool and proceeded to cover up my redness with her product. She

commented on how beautiful my skin was in regards to smoothness and I

shouldn't worry about the redness. Well when she was finished. I couldn't

believe it... I looked like that woman I use to look like 4 years ago. I

wanted to cry; but people in the store would have thought I was crazy. No

red... (although I felt as red as a beet) I can't believe I feel this good

with alittle cover up. I totally recommend to everyone that they go and have

someone (professional) help them with a cover-up of some kind; whether it be

Clinique or Lancome or whatever. It brought me up so high I can't even

explain....

Thanks for such a nice compliment. I thought there would be someone out

there that would like my story. How many times have you heard " Do you have

high blood pressure? "

Is that a compact that acts as a foundation and a powder?

The make-up was Lancome Hydra Compact. Its made up with 30% water. The best

part was the great attention.

Hey

Glad you found out about the benefits of makeup. I wish us guys could go up

to those counters as easy as you ladies can.

You don't get the benefit of personal attention or suggestions, but that's one

of the reasons why these sites are so

popular:

<<I wish us guys could go up to those counters as easy as you ladies can.>>

I have had similar reservations. However, I just go up and buy; they

probably assume it's for my wife. I have found that I can kill two birds

with one stone (no offense, vegetarians) by using a moisturizing physical

sunblock which my skin " likes " , and tinting it to match my own skin color,

using SPF-15 concealer as a tint. I put the sunscreen and tint into a small

bottle with just a little water, and shake it up. I add tint until the color

is close; it doesn't have to be exact. Then I lay it on fairly thick when I

apply it. This way any redness is covered, my skin is moisturized, and I

have the sunscreen protection. (Make that 3 birds.) The sunblock I currently

use is oil-free " Biosun Faces " which contains Titanium Dioxide as the

primary agent. I purchase it at Walgreens.

Works like a charm, for me anyway.
