My kids are in Charlotte not far from the airport. My granddaughter phoned them & said she is in CA but won't tell them where. She said she will keep in touch with them by yahoo E-mail. I think she will do this to try to get them to send money. She is staying with a girl she met here. They have resigned themselves to the fact that she won't live with any authority and she won't go home until she is grown. She ran away two times while in NC and ran from us here. Each time she goes, she tells big lies about her family to make people feel sorry for her and take her in. Sometimes on TV we hear about these poor kids out in the street because they were so mistreated at home. Some of those kids were not mistreated, they were spoiled. My granddaughter was spoiled and had a very good Christian home and wonderful parents. The police told me that the poor kids from poor neighborhoods hardly ever run away, it is the rich or middle class ones who do. If the police get her I will have them hold her in juvenile hall until her dad flies out to get her. I can't force her to stay. At least she will be near her family that she slandered in front of her friends & their parents. As you can tell my husband and I are hurt. Guest guest
Cheryl, I do not understand kids today, the more you give them the more they want. I know that I was spoiled and got most of what I wanted. But when I turned 16, I went to work in a cotton mill. All of us did, cousins and all. it was either work in the mill or work on Uncle Floyd's trash truck, the girls worked in the mill. Our parents told us that we would want a education and to go to college. and we all did. and none of us are working in manual Labor jobs.. except keith.. He owns his own company that does inlayed wood floor designs and then another has his on building company and does the art with wood where you take a saw and design these wonderful dolphins, and his sisters house is going to have wood, railing that looks like the ocean and dolphins jumping out of it.... It looks great on paper, can't wait till they finish it.. and the rest of the girls are either, Doc. Asst., or nurses, my sister was in pre med till she saw a guy, shred his hand in a machine one night... it was unreal... the stuff we saw getting shredded and cut off.... I was so glad to go to college so I could quit working.... I hope your daughter see's the light before it is too late. love and praying Carol Cheryl's granddaughter >>>>>>>>Carol said: Cheryl, What part of NC is she in....
