Hi :

WOW! That's FANTASTIC progress!! I hope you keep listening to what, when and how

much your body wants to eat. During my IE journey, I learned that, when I pay

attention to how food feels in my body, before, during and after I eat, I can

trust your body sensations to guide me, even after my mind has obeyed 'diet

rules' for years.

decided to really give this a go in December I was dealing with a lot of fear

issues; fear of different foods, of gaining weight uncontrollably if I let

myself eat what I want, of trusting my body etc etc. So I told myself just to

do it until the start of the new year and then look back and make a decision

after that, as nothing 'bad' could happen in that short space of time.

pieces a day to 1/2 pieces - fruit was always a 'safe' food), my cake and sweet

and cheese consumption increased hugely but guilt free, and I found myself

eating a lot more often but not getting to that light headed I must eat

everything in sight hunger. And I was a lot happier and more relaxed around

food, even at the Christmas dinner table which is a first for me for a lot of

years.

it's a week passed, and I hadn't noticed! I'm still feeling a bit of the fear

every now and then, but mostly just when I eat something 'new' (like yesterday I

ate my first mars bar for about 8 years) but I just try to talk myself round it.

And as for all my fears about uncontrolled weight gain... I looked in the mirror

this morning and I don't look any different!

So lovely to hear . It is really amazing how little changes do make a

world of difference and can pleasantly surprise you too. Keep up the sweet

progress. ehugs, Katcha

Hi,I just wanted to share my good experiences so far with you guys. realised that not only has my new year 'deadline' passed, but it's a week passed, and I hadn't noticed! , congratulations on your holiday eating success! I've only been on the IE journey since Oct. Isn't it wonderful not to feel guilty about what and when you eat and being happier and more relaxed around food? Being free of the food obsession I felt when I was dieting (restricting) gives me such a peaceful and contented feeling!

Continued success on your IE journey.

All the best,

Jeanne

Thanks for all your replies, I've really been feeling great with IE, and it's

giving me the motivation to push through the fear :) Being free of the fear and

obsession for the first time in so many years is amazing!
