I've had some major things going on at my end and hadn't noticed any new additons to our family here. My husband was in the hospital right before Thanksgiving and I've been trying to get some help for him ever since. We thought he was having a heart attack but they told us after 2 days that he hadn't. When he went into the ER they never came and got me to go be with him for 2 hours. Then the nurse came out to get me and said she had forgotten all about me. So, it's no surprise to me that the hospital left you go for so long. Things like that happen either to the patient or the family member here all the time. Personally, I blame the hospitals for such shotty care. I know with my hubby I should have spoke up but everytime I thought about it someone else would be brought in to the ER...ours tends to be busy or so they say. I did try to speak up during his stay and never got any good response. In fact at one point the nurse (male) just completly ignored me totally. I guess I should have thrown a hissy fit or started acting like a total witch...but my parents taught me better. We are still working on finding out what is wrong with him but thankfully for now he is holding his own. Alittle bit about myself. I'm 33yrs and married to a wonderful hubby for 13 1/2 yrs. We have 3 kids, 2 boys, and a girl ages 14, 13 and 7. We live in Michigan on the eastern side. I was diagnosed with Chronic Discoid Lupus in 1998, 2 years after the birth of my daughter. Just recently I found a primary doctor willing to refer me to the dermotoligist of my dreams. So, finally after 5 years I'm getting proper help. Currently I am on 400 mg of Plaquenil a day and doing well. My dermotoligist and I are hoping to get me off or down this winter on my Plaquenil. I have arthritis in my joints and TMJ as well.
