Guest guest
So, I had home-cooked omelette this morning, made with the store-brand of Egg Beaters. You'd THINK I'd learn to check labels by now, eh? For some reason, I was thinking Egg Beaters and such were carb-free. Apparently, they've got 1 carb per serving. Figuring an 1 egg omelette, and that puts my count off by 3. According to the USDA, a whole egg has ..39 carbs, so even an omelette made with real eggs would have thrown me - but only by about 1 carb instead of 3. On the amazing side, however - if I'd counted for those 3 I probably would have been spot-on for my insulin I went from a fasting of 125 (still working on getting that down, SLOWLY, as I just started the AvandiaMet this week) and only went up to 156 at one hour. Given that 1 carb raises me approx 5 points, well... guess where those 15 points 'off' of the 140 I was aiming for were from? BINGO - my forgotten carbs SulaBlue Who is, frighteningly enough, starting to like math.
