Guest guest
One of the High schools had 600 students, not counting teachers that are out with the flu.. I think they should shut down the schools, But they are going on for this next week, Heaven for bid that they have to make up a few days..... Carol lupus and lights I knew something was going on yesterday. I was so very tired andachy...the flu is going around on campus really bad...two teachers hadto leave campus today and so many kids are sick...I thought I was maybecoming down with it...but when i looked into the mirror this morning, Irealized it was not the flu...I had a complete bright red butterfly onmy face...I have those long four foot flourescent fixtures in my class....they arethe old kind, not protected with a plastic screen type thing...and theyhang about five feet over my head...I wore my ball cap today and put onmy meds...but other than that, there is not much more I can do...I do not have the aches today, but i kinda look like rudolph the rednosed reindeer...no one said anything...I guess they know what it is nowand they do not ask me what is wrong with your face...I am glad forthat...they are very nice people but it was kinda hard on me at first tohave this rash and then have to answer the..what is wrong with your facequestion...now they just tell me to have a good day and if I needanything, please let them know... chippy"The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" Guest guest
I have been fighting with my daughters illness to break her 103 degree fever. It FINALLY broke after 24 hrs. of sweating and looking after her ALL 24 hrs (NO sleep of course). I called her school (she is in kindergarten) and 6 kids in her classroom alone were absent due to the same thing. I know Christmas vacation is around the corner but this is a VERY serious illness. I would cry, while she slept, because I was so scared I was going to lose her too (I lost my infant son in '95). I agree that they should shutdown affected schools...it's just a breding ground. When she brings home the sickness to me I can't function AT ALL. That's why everytime I see another kid sneezing or coughing I know I'll be in bed, or the hospital one, within a few weeks or days. Blessings, > One of the High schools had 600 students, not counting teachers that are out with the flu.. Guest guest
Hi , I know what it is like to have a very sick child. There is no other person in the world who can do things quite like Mom can, so we sit at bedside for as long as it takes. I hope though that you have someone who can take turns watching over her. She is going to need Mom to be alert and feeling as best you can because no other person can read stories quite like Mom either and wipe away tears. Influenza is nasty stuff. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sweet little girl. Hugs - a lupus and lights> > > I knew something was going on yesterday.
