zincO and noritate observations

hi group - I've been following Dr. Sy's recommeded regimen of gentle

cleannsing, Vita-Oil on wet skin, application of medication, then

appplication of zincO. I let the oil absorb for 5 minutes before

applying the medication and then give my skin a 10 minute break before

patting on the zincO. Yes the zincO causes a slight sensation of

warmth (no flush) but that is minimized if I give my skin a break

between each application. If my skin is feeling more reactive that day

I make the breaks longer. I'am delighted with the zincO - texture,

color and high level of protection. I even apply it at night as I am

sensitive to some types of artificial light. With the use of these two

protective products my skin has a dewy moistness, softness and

noreactivness that I have not seen in years. However, based on the

comments I read from this group it seems likely that most products

(barrier, antibiotic or antiinflammatory) work for a while and then we

must take a break and try something different. That seems espcially

true with the topical antibiotic/antiinflammatories. I have used

Azelex for 2 years and felt that it was useless for lumps and bumps for

the last year. Within three days of switching to noritate I saw a

remarkable shrinkage of lumps/bumps, less oil production, smaller

pores. I don't know how long this " remission " will last but I am

deeply grateful that this regime works for now. Between an autoimmune

disease that left me acutely photosensitive and my sensitive rosacea

skin I have not experienced a sunny day in 8 years. I will savor every

moment that I get.
