Guest guest
me too, I suddenly acquired this belly fat when I first became ill about 5 years ago. I am thin everywhere else. I didn't put on any more weight when I started adrenal support but I haven't lost any either... Lynda (in the UK) Re: Re: Gaining weight around your middle........... Guest guest
that is how that stuff that is being taken off the market called cortisol slim or something is making a killing because the belly fat is not overeating fat, just cortisol Re: Re: Gaining weight around your middle........... Guest guest
well that just about covers the adrenals, up, down or sidewise. I'll wait for my adrenal lab tests & not worry about it 'till then. Caroline Re: Gaining weight around your middle........... > This is my problem to the max. So this means I've got adrenal dysfunction either way..hi or low? It's usually high cortisol (stress) which adds the tire, or using adrenal support, or low thyroid which exacerbates a genetic tendency to put weight on in the middle. Guest guest
I guess there's several of us who're going around looking like pregnant toothpicks then? Me too! Guest guest
Cortislim, it's called. Is it really being taken off the market? When I first started seeing those ads, I thought that this would be a dangerous thing for someone (most) who doesn't know anything about cortisol. It made me angry, thinking that they all think Armour is dangerous, yet people could rampantly take something like the Cortislim, eating it like candy and accessing it any time they thought they needed to take off a few lbs. Agghhh! Guest guest
yes it does nothing and with all the claims they are making it is being pulled from what I heard. I haven't seen ads on tv for a bit > >Reply-To: NaturalThyroidHormones >To: <NaturalThyroidHormones > >Subject: Re: Re: Gaining weight around your >middle........... >Date: Sun, 21 Nov 2004 17:01:08 -0600 >
Guest guest
Hi Jamy, Yep, it does nothing. I had gotten some out of desparation prior to even being diagnosed with hashimotos. All it is, is calcium, vitamin C, and green tea. I think there are one or two more things in it, but it doesn't do a darned thing. There was just a comercial on TV for it. A new one I hadn't seen before. Deb :-) JAMY wrote: yes it does nothing and with all the claims they are making it is being pulled from what I heard. Guest guest
Oh I looked up all the ingredients in it, can't remember what all of them were at this time, but some of them appeared to be quite dangerous for thyroid people or even low adrenal people, for that matter. And green tea? I don't remember that being there, but if it was, that's full of fluoride! Aaaaaaaaaaaa!! Will make you more hypo.
