Guest guest
Hi Beth, Yes, I'm on just the Atkins Bars and his shades. Hey, it seems like you were addressing other people also. Did your email go somewhere else?? I am confused. 4,000 glutamine: Do you take it at one time? Dr. Atkins recommmends 500. I take more myself. Also, why 300 mg of zinc? I only take 30 mg. Guest guest
Each email gets sent to the whole list Pamela, so Beth was responding to both you and the rest of the people on the list at the same time. Kirstie
Guest guest
Hi Beth, Yes, I have read all Dr. Atkins' books. What does WOE stand for? I thought it would be a WAY easy way of sticking to the program without the shopping and cooking of the food :-). I 'm so glad I joined this group and found out about how those bars can sabotage weight loss!!! Whew!!! Yes, you are very right about needing to eat food. Thanks for the answering my email. Guest guest
Hi Beth, Now I understand that our emails go to everyone in the group. And, YES, I am going to start eating food! Zinc makes gives me a nausea-like feeling also. Thought I was allergic to it!! Thanks for sharing that with me!!! I have a question, is there a way of sending an email to a group member without it going to the rest of the group? There might be something I would like to say to you for example that wouldn't interest anybody else. I would not want to clog someone's email box with superfluous emails. Thanks for the welcoming. Everyone here has been so nice, Pamela --- Tobola wrote: > Pamela, > > Since you just joined, you might have missed part of > the thread that was a > very civilized debate over the value of taking > vitamins. Guest guest
Hi Beth, May I ask why you take the 4,000 mg of glutamine for? Guest guest
Pamela, The Atkins' diet (or WOE - way of eating, as we prefer to call it) is NOT about eating just bars and shakes. In fact, it is almost the opposite - it is about eating REAL food. Have you read the book? If not, your really should. You'll be amazed to find out that you can eat real GOOD food and still lose weight. Good luck, Vered Pamela Southall wrote: > > Hi Beth, > > Yes, I'm on just the Atkins Bars and his shades. Guest guest
Hi Vered, You got it, sweetie. I am not new to the internet. I use email and IM. I'm Pamela, living in Southern California. I'm divorced and teach yoga. I am a die-hard Atkins enthusiast and I am very pleased to have found a group that appreciates the science behind his program as I do. Guest guest
Oh but Pamela, you obviously are not an internet 'newbie' if you already use 'lol' and smileys, right? Did I miss your intro? If not, how about you tell us a bit about yourself? And any other new person to the list, it's so nice to know a few things about the people you're 'mailing' with. I myself am from Israel, I'm 32 years old and am a vet. I've been on this WOE for 2 months, but let's not talk about how much I've lost I'm enjoying the food on this WOE immensely. Welcome again, Pamela, and any new person on the list whom I've missed because I'm sure I have.
