Guest guest
Thank you Sue! I do need tools and not just encouaragement. I have not read that book, but will look at it. I have read so much lately I feel I a ready to live it, to start walking it out instead of soaking up more knowledge if that makes sense, like I have so much knowledge in my head but just need to "do it" and "live it" and not just "know it"...anyways, I am ready to hear what people chat about here and see what I can learn and see things in different ways. I don't want to feel like I am stuck in some disease forever but I want to be FREE and done with it...I know easier said that done but I know I can do it (of course not in my own strength!). Look forward to chatting Kim Re: Introduction-Kim WELCOME, Kim! I remember you from your TW posts and love having you here. As a longterm TW member I want to assure you that you will find much more gracious support than legalism on this board. However, you will also find specific suggestions about how to eat intuitively from board member posts, info in 'Files' and 'Links'. If you have not read "Intuitive Eating" by Tribole and Resch, I suggest you do so. I had only skimmed through that book years ago. However when I joined this group, I decided to read it cover to cover. Although I had practiced intuitive eating for many years, I was amazed by the ideas about why we have eating difficulties and the suggestions for learning to eat more intuitively. Although I love encouragement, I needed specific tools to change my eating habits. The IE book describes lots of specific techniques.SUE>> Hello! I am new here. I am 32, my husband and I have 3 children who are 9, 5 and 17 months. I live in Florida. I have found this site from some search I did about Thin Within. I have been in Thin Within forums and studies all year. The beginning of this year I started with Weighdown Workshop and this type of eating and then realized it was not a good program for me and moved to Thin Within. I lost all of my weight and got down to my original size. Since then I have slowly put back on 20 pounds, due to me eating past full. I know this. I am looking forward to being part of this group and encouraging and being encouraged. I have made a lot of things legalistic and I believe that is making me to be less successful. I am ready for this new journey and this new year of freedom from emotional eating or overeating, as food does NOT do a thing for me if I am eating more than my body needs.> > Blessings!> Kim> No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 8.5.431 / Virus Database: 270.14.123/2592 - Release Date: 12/29/09 07:47:
