He is on the ap dr. list. He hasn't answered me yet. If you go to Dr. Hagglund, you might have to tell him the protocol you wish to be on, and then direct your own therapy. Is there a dr. that I can have help my rheumy dr. with the ap? Like > Dr. Trentham? Does he mind working with doctors and patients not > anywheres near him? No, I have completely recovered and do my best to stay that way through diet, supplements, exercise, drinking lots of water, etc. - all the things that keep the immune system strong. I don't even need antibiotics for maintenance. Ethel
Guest guest
Hi im 23 years old and i got diagnosed with Dermatomyositis in June last year. The doctor put me in hospital for 10 days so that he could do every test imagineable on me to confirm his diagnosis. Noone in my family has this disease so we are looking for any information that we can get. Im currently on Prenisolone and methotrexate. Even though my CK levels have come back down to normal, im still not feeling any stronger. Im also now getting shortness of breath from the methotrexate. Im wondering if anyone know of any alternative treatments that are effective in treating this disease. Thanks.
Guest guest
If you're getting short of breath, you need to get back to your specialist ASAP. Guest guest
I think the reason is using antibiotic too long cause the allergy. I am using mincyclion for a two years and half. it was very good for that time. but now I got lots of allergy with most food and fruit after eating half hour later, even with minocyclion too. just recently I got other problem, so I stopes eating minocyclion for a one week and half. the meantime I can eat everything without allergic reaction of the joins pain. But I think I still have to keep the minocin soon to avoid the bacterias come back. The problem is antibiotics cause the flora in out degestion system can't keep balance. That is what I think with my allergy. So, I am a person with allergic tendencies myslf. But I don't know to what. Maybe I should see an allergist who could tell me what I should stay away from. I do find fish oil helpful, though. rheumatic Re: dermatomyositis Take Krill Oil instead of fish oil. The krill are at the bottom of the food chain so are not as likely to be contaminated with mercury, etc. carol_DM
