I'm at 4 1/2 grains. 2 in the morning, 2 around 1:00 and 1/2 around 9:00 at

night. I'm experimenting with moving the extra 1/2 to the morning dose and

we'll see how that does.

I am at 7 grains a day but think this will either be the most or maybe even

a tad less, but time will tell. I have only go to this dosage for about 1.5

weeks, so I am waiting to see full results of it. How long have you been on

the 5 grains a day? Some folks (like me) need to add in additional T3 or

even T4 to feel good.

I am up to 4 grs as of last week. I have to take it in 3 doses to sustain T3

effects. I take 5 mcg T3 before bed.

While I am here, has anyone had this happen? Last couple days with my period I

have been having to take extra T3 all day to keep my pulse and temp up.

Yesterday was a battle trying to keep my HR up out of the 60's. I almost lost!

Usually I am running in the low 80's. Today is better, but I am still fighting

trying to stay in the 80s. I just came in after playing hard ( for me ) with the

dogs....HR is 79. :-(

howmuchistoomuch?

how much armour is everyone taking? I have worked my way up to 5

grains(5tabs 2X daily), can still sleep anytime I lay down, even

after drinking 3 cups of caffienated coffee. No symptoms of being

hyper at all, of course my TSH was really high 20.4 when i got my

script for armour. I was just wondering what most people take, and

if they need to keep upping their dose after their body adjust to

it. thanks, samantha

At the time that I switched to Armour, my TSH was a 35 something, but that

doesn't necessarily mean as much as what the Frees were, and they were both

low, believe me. That's what it's going to depend on. So, what were your

Frees, and what are they now?

Hi there . Some folks just take a lot more Armour, and you

can be one. How long have you been on the 5 grains? When you get that

high, it's wise to stay on the dose at least 4 weeks to give the T4

time to build, and show it's conversion effect. Lowe consults

patients to go quite high like you are doing if they get no relief.

But he then adds Cytomel to their Armour. Or, you can continue going

up a bit...and see. How's your Ferritin? Also, you might try doing

your dose more than twice a day, and take a larger amount first thing

in the morning to kick in your receptors--such as 2 grains...then

perhaps one grain in late morning...another one grain in mid

afternoon---etc. Janie
