Hi everyone,

I was having these awlful headaches before I went on the predisone. The headaches have lessen since I started it. There is this constant pressure behind the left eye and cheekbone. Then about 10 days ago I started to notice that the vision is becoming blurry in that same eye. I called the opthamalogists but could get in till Jan 19th. He is an excellent doctor. Has anyone had reactions with eyesight while taking predisone or is this something different. The right side of my face in normal. Just wanted to pick everyones brain.

Thanks, Winterize your home with tips from MSN House Home.

-, Make sure that you don't have a sinus infection. If you've

had any nasal discharge lately, especially if yellow/green, it's

sinusitis---see your family practice physician. I have never heard

of prednisone causing any eye problems. Good luck!!!!

It's not like a sinus infection. I have had this for at least 2 years. The vision has become blurry in that last 2 weeks. The pain and pressure is like something is there trying to force it's way out. That's the only way I know how to explain it.

Thanks,

Hi , I think you should see your regular doctor, hopefully tomorrow. I certainly don't know what is going on with you, but with the "pressure" you are describing, you could have a nasty sinus infection. Can a sinus infection cause blurred vision? Yes it can if the infection is putting pressure on the eye. Hugs - a

I wish it weren't true, but prednisone can cause cataracts. I know because I have them and my rheumy and ophthalmologist are both positive they are prednisone caused.
