Guest guest
Hello! I have a question for those that have had more than one surgery. I was decompressed in May of 2000. Symptoms returned in September of 2000 and continue to get progressively worse. My neurosurgeon said I was worse now than before surgery. I have been told that I have permanent damage because I went so long before I found out what the problem was and had surgery. But.... if it was only permanent damage why do I continue to get worse? That is my neurologists question.... She wants to send me somewhere where they have had had more experience w/returning symptoms. My question is thus: if you have had subsequent surgeries what was the reason behind that decision, what was your outcome, and would you recommend it? Thanks for your time. Also, I am looking into Dr. Milhorat and Dr. Menezes?? If that is spelled right.. She recommends either and said she would get in touch w/whichever I prefer. I live in Oklahoma and on my disability check cannot afford to fly to NY, also my insurance will not cover a " out of network provider, so the medical expenses would be on me as well. I feel I need to find out what can be done for me if anything before I spend what little savings I have left. Thanks for your time.
