Guest guest
, I have been engaged in writing just that sort of thing for the past year. It will be published in 18 months. It isn't exactly as you described with stories from the group but could be similar. Let's make sure we don't step on each other's toes! Guest guest
, I think you have a wonderful idea!! Number one reason, nobody knows anything about this horrible disease we have. When people want to know why I am disabled I tell them I have rheumatoid arthritis, because they have heard of that one. Plus, a little notoriety might get more research done for us. I can see it now, on the Montell Show, describing our disease and pushing his new best seller. I would like to send one of the first ones to places like UC and Oregon Health Sciences University, places that are doing research on various forms of arthritis. Just let me know when you plan to begin. Janet in Ca

Also, I know this is out of line but I have a very odd name and I would love to see it in a book or on tv. So if anyone gets the stories going on CSI ,Monk, or House will you please use my name. Guest guest
Wow... Hey guys, keep talking about these things, this idea from Janet gave me another idea... It would be nice to include a laymans explanation of the diagnosis of the diseases.. I guess I need a place to look, maybe a specific book, with an explanation of the diseases. I'll go google, but if anyone knows of somewhere specific to look for, please tell... michael cameronparkmom@... wrote: , I think you have a wonderful idea!! Guest guest
I think it is a wonderful idea! It is amazing how hard it is to get a diagnosis, how many people are unaware of the disease. and how little info there is out there about it. I am horrified when I read how insurance can decide what is best for people. It sucks! Knowing that there are other people out there suffering with this crap somehow makes me feel better! I know that sounds terrible, but I know my family gets sick of hearing how bad I hurt and it is nice to know that some people here understand. I want my life back!! I especially want my energy back. I used to go at a hubdred miles an hour all day long, now it takes me until noon just to get the engine started and then it stalls so often before it eventually just runs out of gas! I would love to read about other peoples experiences, if tor nothing else, to know that some people are worse off than I am so I quit feeling sorry for myself! One of the worse parts of this is that I feel like I am a crappy mom to my 10 year old. With my older boys (22 and 20), we were constantly on the go, outside playing, something all the time. Now I just can't do all of that and it bugs me. Although he thinks I am the breatest mom in the world, I know that I am not. I am just so tired all the time. Oh well, hopefully the Enbrel is going to give me back my life. Today will be my 8th shot (4 weeks), I am not sure if it is helping or not. I thought at first it was but I think that may have been wishful thinking. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to feel the full effects? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, So , go for it, I will be glad to contribute anything I can. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! - In , " michaelr_321 " <michaelr_321@...> wrote: > > Greetings all… > > Being a writer, as that is one of the few things that I am able to do, > I, go figure, write things… And one email, from courttneey gave me an > idea. Guest guest
Hey ya'll, I've been getting great response from everyone. Some are ready to submit their stories, others are busy writing, still more are just waiting for a sign... So here's the sign: " CURVE AHEAD " So, go ahead and write and submit. Write anything you feel is relevant and anything else you just want people to know... Put it in a word processing document, such as MS Word, and send it directly to me as an attached file. It'll help me keep track of whose is whose... Also, pretend I am rhuemetology-stupid... write the abreviations and what they mean (PA-psoriatic arthritis, etc.) I'm just beginning to see what kind of format to use so don't get discouraged if I don't complete it by next week. After I get the format, I have to adapt it to each person's story. Send 'em send 'em send 'em... Also, anyone else busy trying to write something as well, please let me know who and how you are doing yours, so I don't take someone elses ideas... I don't want to duplicate someone elses work... Thanks ya'll for your help and input... I look forward to reading about ya'll and getting to know you better... michael michaelr_321@...
