Caroline, have you had your ferritin tested? It would NOT be a good idea to

just take extra ferrous sulfate without knowing that. Too much iron can be very

bad for you.

Sorry if you've mentioned about testing already...I sometimes (okay, often!)

PVC's: premature ventricular contractions

PAC's: premature atrial contractions

What they feel like to me is a skipped beat, then the next is really hard,

thumping me good! I don't know the difference, when I have them, between

PVC/PAC...just got that information from the Holter monitor report.

As far as the fast pulse and tachycardia, it does seem to be more common to

have a slow heartbeat (with hypothyroidism)...doctors have told me that I

couldn't be hypo as my heart rate was too fast.

Did you have your ferritin tested? Seems like yours was low? That can also

cause the tachycardia upon any exertion. I'd get extremely breathless even on

walking up a half-flight of stairs, also had the sensation that I had to

constantly yawn to get enough air. Being cold, tired, achy also can be

symptoms. These symptoms are better since I've been on ferrous sulfate.

Yes I know about the iron. I need to have it tested before I take any extra. Not

about to do that.

Caroline, I'm wonderin if it may have already been done on the battery of

tests that your doctor just did, or maybe the one before?

No doctor's ever ordered a ferritin test for me. Just yesterday I asked my new

dr (nurse practioner actually) to order that & some other tests I've never had

that I learned of here. She had done that now. All I have to do is go get the

blood draw soon.
