I had a little time to kill this afternoon, so I went to Trader Joe's (here

in sunny San Diego). Even though I don't like the taste of them, I was

REALLY impressed by the assortment of Atkins bars they had - it looked like

every flavor under the sun!

I picked up LC tortillas made by La Tortilla Factory but CONSIDERABLY

cheaper - $1.29 a package!

I bought an Atkins chocolate bar called " Endulge " . Anyone tried it? It's

1.06 oz and one bar is one serving with 2 g carbs (TAC). I'm gonna run it

through the formula to find " hidden carbs " . These were fairly cheap - 99

cents each.

Then, I got 3 different Carbolite chocolate bars (milk chocolate, chocolate

crunch and chocolate almond). I think these are gonna have some hidden

carbs because there's some malitol in them. One bar has seven servings

(only 2 pieces per serving). These were more expensive - $1.99 each.

For a new taste test experiment, I bought Pumpkorn Maple and Vanilla flavor.

This was $1.79 for a 3 serving bag. I'm a little hesitant to try these, I

think because my taste memory of pumpkin seeds is an oily, salty taste. And

these are supposed to be sweet.

Last, I bought some Carbolite Protein Chips. I saved the receipt because

the checkout person told me that she and everyone else who worked there had

tried them and thought they were HORRIBLE. Two servings per bag. AND -

they were $2.29 a bag!

If anyone has tried any of this stuff before, and has a taste opinion, I'd

appreciate it (except the tortillas - I've had them before). I can get my

money back for any of this stuff, but I'd rather know ahead of time if I'm

biting into something horrid.

And, if no one HAS tried this stuff, I'll be sure to post opinions!
