? re breakthrough bleeding

I have a question that is kind of gross but....

First let me give you a little background info. I was diagnosed in

2001 with 4 fibroids with a 13 wk sized uterus. At that time I was

having two periods a month - every two weeks apart. That happened

only two months (Sept and Oct). Since that time, my periods are very

regular although very heavy with many large clots. I have symptoms

of pressure, which affect my bowels.

Yesterday I was slightly constipated (as usual) but not straining - I

found blood on the tissue - not from my anus - from my vagina. It is

mid-way through my cycle (I ovulated on the 6th). The bleeding

didn't continue but again today after using the bathroom (bm) I again

noticed blood from my vagina on the tissue.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I call my Dr.?
