MARGREET,

I get some pretty deep horizontal ridges in my nails which are directly

related to exema on those fingers.....doubt that isyour case, but though I

woud share in case it was. What has helped the exema clear up finally is

putting grapefruit seed extract on myhands. Working like a charm in less

than one week. :-)

Are you being treated for the RA? I'm on celebrex and it helps to a

Oohh really? When I searched for nail-answers I read that most nail

ridges with RA are longtudial. Mine are horizontal.

But I do have RA-antibodys. Should I check a rheumatologist then?

My fingernails were beautiful too.....

Thanks for mentioning!

Well Inga, I do have some exema on my fingers too. I'll check the

grapefruit seed extract, don't think it's available here.

Margreet,

Yeah, I guess the exema damages the new nail root that is growing out, and

therefore the ridges. I only get the horizontal ridges on 2-3 fingers.

You should be able to get it at any health food store...it is also called

GSE. No guaruntees, but my hands are sure clearing up verynicely. I also

used it on some pyroderma (?) on my kitty cat and it seems to be responding

to it as well.

GSE is a power antifungal/microbial and is good totake internally as well!
