Guest guest
This week I sent my insurance appeal in and copied the HR dept (Director and Benefits Mgr) at the company. I faxed Dr. R's appeal letter to them too. Now I am in wait mode. I called up the person who has to approve it and she told me two weeks. She was very nice, and knew me off the top of her head. (Ok, so I called a once before and sent a registered letter on my legal stationary.) She had gotten a little huffy before and told me that WLS wasn't covered and I could appeal, but they would deny it when I did. Today, it was going to take two weeks to decide. Maybe the letter from my doctor which said, " it is certainly necessary for her to have the surgery to save her life " got her attention. I am feeling confident, although I know it doesn't really mean anything until you get the thumbs up from the insurance company. At any point, I think they are having to think about it. Probably afraid of being sue, GOOD, cause they might get sued! SO, if I would get moving on all the OTHER stuff, maybe I would actually have my package ready in two weeks. I still have a few things to tick off my list! Anyway, keep me in your prayers, I am going to be a very joyous woman, or a very depressed woman in two weeks. In any event, I would rather know, than not know any day. I hate limbo land. Boy am I an impatient one!
