Hi,

I want to make meatballs for my son, but getting a legal tomato

sauce seems impossible. So I guess I need to make from scratch, but

every recipe seems like an all-day affair. Is there a simple recipe

out there? Thanks a lot,

,

Just use tomatoes. Not trying to be sarcastic.I'm italian and we make

our spagetti sauce with tomatoes only.we add basil leaf.it's in how

you simmer it on the stove to thicken it that makes it.My mother has

done this all her life. She cooks tomatoes, strains them ,jars

them>then when she needs it.She gets a jar and simmers on stove for

about 1/2 hour.Best sauce in the world.

Hi ,

I like quick & easy recipes too!

I make my sauce as follows:-

Ingredients

Tomatoes

Onion

garlic

Salt

Pepper

Basil

olive oil

The quick way of doing this is to quarter the tomotoes, add a littl

water and dring to boil then simmer until all is very soft. When

done, let it cool. Then pour it through a colander. You need to

work the tomotes through so that you end up with all the seeds and

peel only inside the colander. (you may want to put it through you

food processor first to make it easier).

Then Dice onion and fry until transparent, add crushed garlic and fry

for another minute. Add your sauce and salt & pepper to taste.

Bring to boil and then simmer for about 15 minutes. Then add fresh

basil simmer for a few more minutes. Your done.

Hope that helps
