Guest guest
Ann I am sorry to hear about the return of the tumors but please hang in there. Early this year I asked my Doc about removing a tumor the size of a basketball(this was another persons description not mine) and he said it was possible. He said he would be more concerned about the fact that the person I described was young and had only one tumor but that other thana large incision there should be no obstacles even though it was large. He did say it would be a difficult and probably long surgery and the girl I was asking for should choose someone carefully for the best results...as if that is not a given. Although I complain about how he treats me I do not question his ability. He knows his stuff when it comes to surgery...just do not let him decide how long you need to wait for a transfusion(sorry still a bit off on that topic) I would trust his advice. I have seen his successes and met his " kids " . Tomorrow my roommate in the hospital will begin trying for children. He is arrogant but I have to say in his defense (am I good at both sides of the coin or what)...he is good at what he does...and that pride means that every day I have been in the hospital...for surgery or emergency transfusion he has come to see me to check on me, my chart, and everything. The nurses at the hospital on recovery all spoke well of him and even the nurses on three where I go for transfusions told me he and his office were very dilligent. I did not see how big your uterus was or if anyone hinted at other conditions. If he changed his mind take a tape recorder...I never hear much past hysterectomy...and make him explain the changes in his plan. Take time to do research. Tomorrow I go to the Dr for levels and my 7th dose of 7.5mg of Lupron. I understand the fear and frustration...I live in their shadow but I am still fighting to prevent My own imminent hysterectomy so I urge you to fight until it is no longer time to fight. Ask questions, demand answers, take care of you and remember you have a vast group of very experienced women...fibroids are their specialty. hang in there take care e --- Ann wrote: He performed a myomectomy this past > January (just over five months ago) and had asked me > to keep track of my monthly cycles on a calendar. > My cycle that started the end of May lasted 17 days > and I lost a lot of blood.
