Guest guest
ELFMARGE's statement below prodded me that I should mention I used to suffer from extreme GERD/Heartburn...for a long time I had heartburn everyday...I thought it was fairly normal...I was eventually put on Prilosec to control this which helped quite a bit BUT.....the thing that REALLY helped was when I cut way way back on the carbs (both simplex and complex)...including sugar....a week or so after I switched to the Low Carb diet I noticed I wasn't getting heartburn any longer....I don't ever even take my heartburn medication any longer EXCEPT when I eat carbs.... It took me a week or so to get used to not taking in carbs (or very few) but I soon found I no longer craved them much...Now I do, from time to time, jump off the wagen for a meal or two to eat pasta, bread or some of the great cookies my daughter bakes but I am no longer addicted to carbs... Blessings and Health! Tony rheumatic Re: Is it time to change antibiotic? Hi Shirley, I would also look into a yeast issue as this can compromise the AP. I know for me I thought I was flaring again as the yeats was so bad. Much acidophilus as well as a good low carb diet is becessary and eliminating sugars. This helps a lot and you may not need anything additional!
