Guest guest
Several times when I have had a Free T3 test, the doctor had to write it in the form as it wasn't one of the tests listed. Guest guest
I asked my new dr (nurse practioner really) to order the free T3 but she refused saying it wasn't needed. Yes she could have written it on the form I know. But refused to. Since I still have that order form & haven't gotten the blood draw yet, a friend suggested I write it on their myself. If I did, I wonder if that nurse prac. & the dr. she works for would fire me as a patient. Guest guest
Well, if she did fire you as a patient, then that would mean she's not the right doctor for you, right? So no problem. And in the meantime you'll have your lab values. Several of us have advised you to give this doctor a chance, but only long enough to see if she can be reasonable. If she a) won't order the test you ask for and freaks out when you order it yourself, that's not being reasonable, IMO. Guest guest
agreed. I'm at the point now, that seeing she only prescribed 30mg Armour a day for me (which I only got today), & only the T4 & TSH tests (which I haven't gotten yet), then I might just fire her instead. Meantime I'll try to get all the right lab tests done & get the results. I hope the lab will do that for me.
