Guest guest
I have been sitting back reading the book IE and your posts, trying to learn from you who are further along in the IE process. It has been two months since I joined the group and would like to share how I'm doing. Think I'm making progress on rejecting the diet mentality, having tossed my WW magazines out and other magazines with weight loss articles. My WW materials have been stored away out of sight; haven't had the courage to throw them out yet, but I figure " out of sight , out of mind. " Have to admit I do weigh myself once in awhile and have gained back all the weight I lost a year ago. Try not to let it " go to my mouth " or feel bad about myself. Think I like being a little more fluffy! Am trying to honor my hunger and eating when I feel hungry and stopping when satisfied or comfortable. IE is certainly challenging because this is a totally different way of thinking and doing for me. I've noticed now that since I've pretty much given myself permission to eat anything I want, I don't seem to want those sweets I used to scarf down. Never realized until I stepped away from WW and reading IE just how dieting can screw up your thinking. Thanks for listening, and thanks for your sharing your personal experiences! All the best, Jeanne
Guest guest
Jeanne it is marvelous that you are making progress in this important change - back to - what you yourself are and need to be. Being aware is the very first step and letting go of that which does not help you is excellent too. Keep up the fabulous efforts and looking forward to more of your sharing too. BEST to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > I have been sitting back reading the book IE and your posts, trying to learn from you who are further along in the IE process.
