First off....

TLA = Three Letter Acronym

:)

I've noticed a lot of acronyms get tossed around on this and other groups so

I thought I'd define a few for folks who may not know what they are. I also

found a site at http://www.acronymfinder.com that will query acronyms and

give you potential definitions. Kinda cool, really. :)

BTW ------- By The Way

FWIW ------ For What It's Worth

FYI ------- For Your Information

HTH ------- Hope This Helps

IIRC ------ If I recall Correctly

IMHO ------ In My Humble Opinion

IMNSHO ---- In My Not So Humble Opinion

LOL ------- Laughing Out Loud

OTOH ------ On The Other Hand

ROTFLMAO -- Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A** Off

TIA ------- Thanks In Advance

SBD ------- South Beach Diet

TOM ------- Time Of Month (sometimes TOTM)

WOE ------- Way Of Eating

WOL ------- Way Of Life

WW -------- Whole Wheat (note context)

WW -------- Weight Watchers (note context)

As I was looking around, trying to think of any others that might be

relevant, I came across a list of other common diet acronyms.

ADA - American Dietetic Association

AMA - American Medical Association or " against medical advice "

AS - Artificial Sweetener

ASAP - As soon as possible

BF - Body Fat or Best Friend or Boy Friend

BFL - Body for LIFE

BG - Blood Glucose

BIL - brother in law

BMI - Body Mass Index

BMR - Base Metabolic Rate

BRB - Be Right Back

BIL - Brother In Law

BTW - By the way

CAD - Carbohydrate Addicts Diet
