Guest guest
Did you see my email about the 6 high protein, low fat, low carbs diet & how it helps to balance glandular/hormonal functioning? I have a friend who's been grossly overweight since I met her. She's got severe spinal problems & is so disabled with it, she can't drive, doesn't work, can hardly walk far even around in her house & is extremely sedentary as a result. She's on the heaviest doses of morphine prescribed for late stage cancer patients besides. She switched her eating habits of 3 meals a day, often skipping meals altogether, to six small meals a day. She lost over 60 pounds in a few months doing just that & feels ever so much better. I haven't seen her for a few years but no doubt she's still on that 6-meals a day diet & doing fine, probably lost way more weight. Of course I have no idea if she's got thyroid problems but she said she has immune system dysfunction badly for years & years. But I know many others have lost weight by eating more often up to or over 6 small meals a day. I don't know why it takes the weight off but it does. Others have lost similar poundage by going on the 6-meal a day diet too. I think it might work for you along with changing your Armour/Cytomel dosages as you think you should. Caroline hypo and weight loss I feel very strongly that on the correct dosage of thyroid, wiht cutting calories, we SHOULD lose weight. I have no time for lunch usually. On my days off I do eat lunch, but when i am working, no. I find if I eat mid day I am tired in the afternoons, yup, even with the meds I take. I SHOULD be bouncing off the walls, but I can only assume all the years of wrong treatment have made me very thyroid resistant, couple that with insecticide poisoning that is known to block thyroid receptors, and I doubt I have hit my optimal dosage of thyroid yet. I may yet have to cut the Armour more, and add more T3. The additional T3 in my case, seems to be the best thing I have done for myself in a while. I felt little improvement till I added that in about a year or so ago, but I still don't feel QUITE right. But OH so much better than I did! Guest guest
Hi , I'm actually wondering if I have some sort of thyroid hormone cell resistance too, since I need to be overdosed to feel good. But being overdosed shows up in my bloodwork. How does your bloodwork look like with the high dose you take? Guest guest
I have no idea what my bloodwork looks like as I haven't had any done in about 2 years. Maybe after Christmas if my grooming is real busy I will have enough extra to get some testing done, but I kinda doubt it.
