Guest guest
Hi Dr. Chiu and group: I am in need of some wisdom/experience from the group. I have CREST SD and have been doing very well. I have been on the AP protocol for about 4 years and have had success with it. However, here's my problem. I'm hoping that with the advise from the group I can go back to my doc when I have my appointment in June with some suggestions. I'm waiting for the latest blood tests measuring the SD antibodies. There were down to 530 (down from >5,000). In December we changed the antibiotics from flagyll to Doxy due to the gut problems with the flagyll. I had a major flair with Doxy from which I have yet completely recovered. Prior to changing to Doxy my hands were " normal " and I could get my wedding ring on. Now the joints in my fingers are swollen and I can't get my rings on, yet I don't have any pain. I'm back on the minocin dosage on M-W-F. I started with this, but we changed the from the minocin to flagyll because I seemed to be at a standstill. To try to get me back to previous levels, my doc also has me on Tindamax with the minocin(a modern version of flagyll). However, my " gut " feeling is not comfortable with this. I discovered that I have parasites and I in a colon and parasite cleanse. So I am trying to get my body " clean " and as healthy as possible. I don't eat sugar, starch or wheat. Any suggestions as to what could help me get these finger joints down and back to where I was? Thanks so much everyone. Roni
Guest guest
Hi, Are you able to try alternating courses? I think Nicholson uses for that for Gulf War etc. 6 weeks of Minocin, and then 6 weeks of Flagyl.
