Guest guest
Thanks Katcha! I am taking it slow.. I have to break it to my friend soon, who is a longtime member of WW..and wants me to be too... I have told her about this method..but she doesn't believe it. > > > > Hi, I am new on the board. My name is I am 44 years old and have been on and off diets since I was 12 years old. I found Geneen Roth's " Feeding the Hungry Heart " workshop cassettes at a salvation army about 5 years ago. It was the best $1.00 I had ever spent. I have since still been off and on diets but still go back to those cassettes and I also have bought all her books.. and the intuitive eating book and a book called diet survivors. I am trying to restart this.. I am now " stuck " at weight watchers .. since this past July.. I promised a friend I would do it with her. I have lost some weight .. but the counting points thing is driving me crazy. > > > > Just thought I would stop lurking and introduce myself. I am looking for support and friendship as i try to quit ww and restart IE. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hello. My name is and I am just really starting to learn about the whole intuitive eating thing. I have been struggling with my weight ever since I can remember. Growing up with a mother who always tried to control the food I at which lead to me sneaking and hiding food, it is pretty easy to say I have a hate relationship with food and weight. Also, with the predominate threat of type 2 diabetes that runs through my family history there is even more stress on the need to lose weight and become " healthy. " So I have been trying alternative methods and my acupuncturist/ alternative health doctor suggested intuitive eating. It has sounded very interesting so I wanted to reach out an give this a shot. Oh and the other element in my weight is that my life is schedule from today until forever making exercise and organizing what I eat difficult. I work a M-F 9-5, am pursuing an anthropology certificate, work in the evening and weekends on theater productions, and teach ice-skating. Well anyways, I wanted to say hi and that I am very excited to learn more about this whole process.
Guest guest
Welcome , I'm sure you will find lots of support here and no one to tell you how, when, what to eat. If you ask for specific feedback, you will get that, but no 'advice' (aka shoulding) giving goes on here as the general rule. Jump right in and is you can take the time to read back a day or so of posts, it could help you see what this group is like. BEST to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Hello.
