Guest guest
Instead of using progesterone cream, doesn't just taking Armour correct any imbalances with that? How about estrogen? Does Armour correct that deficiency too? Since I stopped taking my Estradiol a few months ago, I've been having terrible day & night sweats or hot flashes. I hate them. So as of yesterday I'm back on Estradiol again. But it will take a couple of weeks, no doubt, for it to start eliminating the sweats/flashes. I'm also terribly moody. Good thing I live alone or I would pity my partner. Can't even stand my own company most days. LOL!! C Re: [NaturalThyroidHormones) Thank you ladies yes, you are right, I too believe they don't look out for our best interests, only their own. I am perimenopausal, and have found that as I have used the progesterone cream, my night sweats, insomnia and moodiness have disappeared. I am hoping to see my thyroid improving also. I have begun to look in to self dosing along with the Rx my doctor has given me for Armour, since I don't think that 1.5 grains is going to be sufficient to get me back on track. I haven't had any labs run for about 6 months or more, so will have to get the T3 and T4 run, along with several other ones that I have been making notes about. I am so thankful for this group of ladies and the courage they have given me...thank you!!!

I am using an Estrogen gel and it (or the pills) will work within ONE day! That is a fast acting hormone. You will know when you take too much estrogen by the breast tenderness. I wouldn't think at your age you would need estrogen every day. I only use the gel about 3 days a week to avoid estrogen dominance and I use Progesterone cream the other days. Seems to be working for me and I am 50 years old(soon!). *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Ok, thanx. Then I don't need to take Estradiol pills everyday? I wouldn't know how else to take them...how many days per week, that is. I'm not at all good with putting creams on myself. I have some estrogren cream in fact & not using it. Too much of a nuisance & I keep forgetting to do it. Rather take pills. If it's so fast-acting, then maybe the hot flashes/sweats I'm having aren't related to that? I started back on taking it yesterday & still have the sweats. Oh well, we'll see how it goes I guess. Oh... I used to have a bit of breast tenderness, aches, pains in that area when I was on Estradiol before. But then I discovered evening primrose oil stops that a lot. I ran out of it recently tho so prolly shld buy more. Now that I am not using it every day, I am not having any tenderness, but I really overdid it at first and OUCH! I couldn't even sleep on my stomach! Guest guest
Zena or Wonder Woman?? LOL!! Doubt that'll be my problem. Tee hee. All right, thanx then. Then I'll just take the usual amount of Estradiol for a few days & if I have the breast tenderness, I'll cut the pills in half or take them every other day something.
