Guest guest
I've been enjoying reading all of your stories. I'm glad I'm here. My main purpose here is to learn healthy eating habits for life. I've been counting calories since February, and I'm tired of it. I try to focus on a calorie limit of 1400 through the week and Sunday is my day off. It hasn't been working that way. My ultimate desire is to not count calories anymore, not carry around a calorie journal and CalorieKing book. I want to be able to listen to myself and eat only when I'm hungry. My problem is nightime. I'm an online student and I study at night and eat eat eat. Last night I ate almost a whole box of Wheat Thins. I wasn't hungry...This is my problem. Last night I ate about a whole row of Oreo cookies. I couldn't stop. I kept wanting more. I tried to think " what am I feeling right now " , and I just couldn't stop thinking how good the food was tasting. I almost hear myself say " I don't care, I'm eating this " . I read Intutiive Eating a few days ago and thought it was an absolutley great book. I would like to go back and read it again. Does this take time to master? I'm really tired of obsessing about calories. I want to eat normal. I wish I could find a bracelet of some sort that I can look down and have it remind me of IE? Perphaps I will type up something on the computer and attach it to my fridge? Any thoughts. Again, I'm glad I'm here! Stacie
