Guest guest
Okay, so I've been reading this book called the " Attraction Distraction. " I don't know if any of you have heard or read about the Law of Attraction, but basically, it's the idea that we are what we think about. We bring into our lifes that which we focus on most fervently. So if you concentrate on money and your lack of it, then you will continue to be short of cash. However, if you begin to concentrate on making money or receiving money in the mail as opposed to bills, then your money situation will start to improve. I know it's a strange thought, but if you think about it, it works. So if we apply this " Law of Attraction " to weight loss, how many of us have stared in the mirror thinking to ourselves, " oh my gosh, I look so fat " or " I've gained weight " and then started to panic? All these intensely-negative bodily feelings about weight do is to attract MORE FAT. Doesn't that make sense? So I guess I have a challenge for everyone (myself included). For the next week (and more, if you get positive results), focus on feeling good about your body. As soon as a negative emotion enters your mind, counter it with something positive. Get REALLY excited that you will soon be at your ideal body weight. Muster up as much positive emotion you can and see where it takes you. Sometimes I think the problem with IE is that most of us don't believe we can eat whatever we want and still lose the weight. Hence, we gain weight or stay the same because that's what we believe should and will occur. So try it! What could it hurt? Let's all get really happy and excited about the prospect of getting to our goal weight and having the body we've always wanted. See what it does for you. And if you have the chance or the desire (or even some curiosity), I highly recommend you look into the Law of Attraction and perhaps read one of the books. Joe Vitale is excellent, and the book I am reading now by is really great so far as well. Happy eating, everyone! -
