Guest guest
The posts tonight, now that the hubub had died down, indicate that most people favor radical change. New diabetics should cut out all " bad " food at once, and add back gradually. One obvious concern is that many of those " bad " foods are comfort foods, and asking someone to cut out all their comfort at once could easily cause them to say f_ck it, this is too damn hard. At that point, you can talk about the consequencies, but that is motivation through fear, and does that really work in many cases? I honestly don't know. My question is, how many folks do you know of, when presented with something as drastic as Bernstein's approach, have quit? And has anyone been successful in getting them back on some sort of program?
